This regulator can detect two kinds of failure problem when it applied to motorbike- one is AC Generator problem, the other is regulator over heat .

-AC Gernator problem

1. ACGAC Generator Detect Conditions:

A.    AC generator detect frequency range) :125HZ~215HZ

(for example, during this HZ range, the 18pole AC generator rpm is 1250RPM~2150RPM)

B.      DC output load is over 50%

(for example, for a 20A generator , it start detect alarm when the load is over 10A  )

C.      When the AC generator power less than 20-33% it start detect .

 （for example 100W generator，when only 67W-80W left, it start detect ）.

2. Possible Failure causes

A.    AC Generator defect: The enamelled wire is short or generator coil layer short circuit, caused failure.

B.     AC Gernerator plug bad connection (resistance too big or defect plug).

- Regulator over heat problem

Regulator surface(35A mosfet and 60A mosfet) Over 105^o C- 125^o C-temp . It start alarm

Regulator surface (series 50A ): Over 95^o C- 115^o C-temp,it start alarm

- Alarm Mode

a.   ACG-NG Alarm mode: Bep. Bep. Bep. (3sec.)----------stop10sec.-----------Bep. Bep. Bep.------------

b.  Regulator. Over heat Alarm mode:   Bep.-----------stop10sec--------Bep.

 alarm 1sec - stop 10sec. -then again alarm 1sec (repeat)

Remarks: The alarm will be activated (alarm mode is ACG NG) if the battery voltage is less than 12v or more than 16v after motorbike was started for 20seconds, however if voltage back to normal ,the alarm will be stop.
